Smart Phone Photography & Spirituality - ZOOM

Smartphone Contemplative Photography is a four-week experience that blends practical smartphone photography skills with mindful awareness. Students learn to use the camera they already carry with intention, developing confidence in lighting, composition, and simple editing while cultivating a habit of slowing down and seeing the world with greater presence.

The course pairs technical instruction with guided moments of reflection drawn from Lisa Edney’s backgrounds in both photography and yoga. Her photography work centers on portrait and creative storytelling, and she brings that same clarity of seeing into the classroom. Her yoga training shapes the contemplative side of the course, where breath, awareness, and intentional practice support a deeper way of noticing beauty in everyday environments.

The class is designed for beginners as well as returning photographers. All that is required is a smartphone and a willingness to engage in consistent practice and mindful observation.

Classes will meet over four weeks - Feb. 19, 26, Mar. 5, 12
