Facilitated by Amy Rebekah Chavez, M.A., S.E.P.
Trauma Informed Care principles are based in the understanding that trauma is pervasive and as people who support others, we can learn to use our own nervous system as an instrument of peace and healing through practices that encourage self-regulation in service to co-regulation. Each session will unpack different aspects of trauma, how it shows up in ourselves and in the people we support.
When we learn the intelligent language of the nervous system, we have access to important information about our body’s deep sense of safety and we create more capacity for adaptation and healing. Session one focuses on trauma informed leadership on the personal individual level. Session two focuses on trauma informed leadership on the inter-relational level. And Session three explores trauma informed leadership from a more collective, global level. Session four is an opportunity to integrate the learnings, and embody the practices.
Four Zoom meetings are Monday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm on Nov. 15, 29, Dec. 13 and 20, 2021.
