Retreat as a Spiritual Practice: Crafting Contemplative Experiences

A Workshop for Spiritual Directors

Led by Christine Hiester

Zoom link and details provided upon registration.

This workshop will be recorded and available to paid participants for 30 days after the session.

Retreat planning is an art. A contemplative retreat is not just a chance to get away; it is an opportunity for an attendee to discover more about the Divine and about herself, to follow the movements of his deepest truth into what he knows is an authentic experience of God, to become still and quiet in a way that can change the world, one retreatant at a time.

As spiritual companions often asked to lead or facilitate a retreat experience, how do we approach this process? What are the methods and qualities needed to lead a successful retreat? How do we shape a journey of a day, weekend, or longer that will be meaningful to those in attendance?

In this workshop, Christine Hiester will guide us in discovering, through discussion and practice, the elements of retreat, and share her process of crafting a retreat experience that is a meaningful spiritual touchstone in daily life.
